First of all, from 1980 to 1996

Singers of this period is still famous.
So, a lot of idol at present remake their song.

‘Last night’s story’ is ‘Sobangcha(fire engine)’s song’, ‘meaning of you’ is ‘sanullim(the rumbling of a mountain)’s song’, ‘pierrot smiles at us’ this song is ‘Kim wan sun’s song’, and cool’s song is ‘aroha’.

80’s, not only teen~20s but also all age groups were target of marketing. At that time, because of appearance various pop music genre and king of pop ‘Michael Jackson’, the domestic music was influenced by pop music. but trot song and fork music was more famous than pop music.
On the other hand, The censorship was severe because this period was a military dictatorship.
So music’s develop was slow. 1980’s is period of various attempt and genre.

In 1990’s, after appearance US hip-hop music and ‘Seo Taiji and Boys’, k-pop music changed a lot. Rap was very unusual in Korean. But, ‘Seo Taiji and Boys’ broke social ideology. At that time, ‘Seo Taiji and Boys’ popularity much high than exo and BTS.

In this period, groups that tied up in the early teens and 20s came out a lot. This group affected korea idol formation.
